CHAPTER TWO

02||Sleep Where?

-HER POV-

Young Woo.

Young Woo.

The guy that I had just met earlier. The guy that was friends with Joon Suk. I gasped again and turned him so that he was laying on his back completely flat. I placed my ear against his chest.

Thump.

Thump.

Thump.

There was still a heartbeat.

I quickly placed my hand over his mouth. He wasn’t breathing. Trying to remember what to do, I quickly performed the Heimlich maneuver. I placed my lips over his and covered his nose. I breathed into his mouth deeply and then pressed against his chest to try to get the air flowing.

One.

Two.

Even three times.

Still no response. I shook my head, trying to figure out what to do. I tried one last time, and finally, he coughed harshly.
“Are… you okay…?” I asked.

-HIS POV-

I coughed severely and grabbed my neck. I felt a burning sensation running through my body, almost like taking a shot of the darkest whisky on the market. I took a deep breath, inhaling and exhaling. Damn. I was so f*cking close. This girl, who looked so empty minded, was still looking at me. What the hell was her problem?

“Hello?” she repeated.

Was she seriously trying to talk to me after what just happened…?

“Hello?” she asked again, waving her hand in my face.

“Yah! I’m not deaf, nor am I blind,” I retorted.

“What the hell were you trying to do…?” she asked in a frightened tone and began scooting away from me.

“What does it look like I’m f*cking doing!”

“I was just trying---.”

“Oh load of bullsh*t. You knew I was trying to commit suicide. How the hell do you go and ‘help’ someone when they’re trying to do that sh*t?” I yelled.

“But---,” she began, but I rudely interrupted her.

“Who the f*ck do you think you are!” I shouted louder.

“I wanted to help…”

“Didn’t I just f*cking say that you’re an idiot for helping someone if they were trying to commit suicide? If you wanted to help, you should’ve just kept on walking.”

“What! I was just trying to help! I’m sorry that I can’t just watch people kill themselves like that!” she yelled out of the blue.

“It’s none of your f*cking business,” I said as I stood up. I bent over to grab the belt, but she snatched it away from me.

I sighed. “Can I please I have it back?” I said, trying to be a little more polite.

“What? No!” she said and stood up. Seriously…

“Are you going to honestly act like that with me? First you don’t know who I am, and you should go mind your own business,” I said.

“Excuse me?” she retorted. Great. I fell into a trap with a nasty lion. She wasn’t even that pretty. She was normal. There was nothing ‘great’ about her except for the fact that she didn’t have black hair. Her hair was light brown and she had bigger eyes than most Koreans. Nothing special about this girl. I sighed.

“Fine. Take my belt,” I said. “Just leave me alone.”

“I will if you won’t try commit suicide again,” she said, still glaring at me with her beady little eyes.

“Yeah, yeah,” I said and slipped my hands into my pocket.

“Don’t you realize other people care about you? What about your friend Joon Suk?” she said.

Great. The guilt trip. She went on about how everyone was going to miss me and how my friends like Joon Suk, who obviously liked her and I didn’t know why. But she kept going on about how they were going to miss me and stuff. What a load of bullsh*t, but I nodded hoping she would stop lecturing. I knew if I tried to fit a word in, she would go off on me. I knew it was best just to “listen” and nod.

“Yes ma’am,” I said sarcastically and began walking away from her.

“Yah! Yah!” she yelled and ran after me. She came up in front of me, stopping me in my footsteps. She looked at me and grabbed my arm.

“What the hell are you doing?” I asked, trying to loosen her grip from my arm. She was pretty strong, this feisty one.

“You’re coming home with me.”

“I’m coming where?”

“Home with me.”

“What am I, a dog?”

“No, you idiot.”

“Hey, I live on a campus,” I said, finally freeing myself from her wrath. I stuck my hands back into my pocket.

“Do you have a roommate?” she asked.

“Yeah? Why?”

“Well…” she began.

“You think I’m stupid enough to do it in front of him?”

“Yeah,” she nodded. “You’re an idiot for trying in the first place. Just come with me tonight. I’m not going to rape you or anything. Jeeze.”

Rape me? Sh*t, what if she did more, who knows what she was going to do to me.

“Why do you care so much anyway?” I asked.

“Because, I don’t want to see people throwing their lives away like that. You know how many people would love to be in your position right now? Going to college, having friends, and just being a student?” she said.

Wow. Another lecture. Damn, little did she know. I hated when people judged me like that.

“Like you know anything,” I said.

“Well, I know people are trying so hard just to survive. Now would you just come with me already? I won’t bother you after this. Promise,” she said.

“Seriously?”

“Well… as long as you don’t try to commit suicide,” she said.

“Okay. Deal. I’ll sleep at your place, but you better not try to do any damn sh*t to me.”

“Why the hell would I do that? Look at you. I’ve done so much better,” she laughed as I followed her to her car. Her car was pretty crappy.

“Nice ride,” I chuckled as I got inside. The roof of the ceiling was dipping down and there were scratches of paint everywhere.

“Oh shut up,” she said. “It’s not like I see you with any car at all.”

“I have a car,” I smirked.

“Then why don’t you drive us back to my place?”

“Because you’ve offered and we’re already in here,” he laughed.

“You know what. You seemed so much nicer earlier. So friendly…” she mumbled off as she turned her car on.

“Yeah, well you’ve got me on the wrong side. That’s your fault, not mine,” I smirked.

“Ugh…” she sighed pulled out of the parking lot. With her terrible driving skills, we finally arrived in front of an apartment building. She parked crooked.

“Hey, you parked funny,” I laughed.

“Ugh… shut up. I’m tired. Let’s just go inside and sleep,” she said and unbuckled the seatbelt.

“And, you suck at driving, you know,” I laughed as I made my way out of the car. She rolled her eyes at me, or at least I think she did. It was too dark to tell. She dragged me with her into the building and we headed up the elevator upstairs to her apartment. Once we she got there, she opened the door and turned around to look at me.

“SHHH,” she whispered loudly.

“Yeah… yeah…” I said. We both took off our shoes and she grabbed my hand and led me into, what I was guessing, was her room. She closed the door behind us and switched the light on. Her room wasn’t too messy. Her bed was in the middle and she had a dresser and desk on each side of the room. There were a few clothes on the floor and some spilling into her basket. While I was still examining her room, she had already spread a blanket on the floor with a pillow and one more blanket on top.

“There,” she said.

“Oh, thanks,” I said, snapping out of my daze. I slowly began taking my shirt off, with my undershirt still on.

“What the hell are you doing?” she whispered loudly.

“Jeeze, I sleep with my shirt off. I can’t sleep with a shirt on… I get too hot,” I said and took off my undershirt.

“Aish…” she said.

“What? You’ve never seen a half naked man before?” I smirked.

“Of course I have, you idiot,” she said and threw a pillow at me.

“Oh, but not the whole thing… I bet you’re still a virgin,” he said.

“What does it matter to you?”

“Isn’t it weird that I’m sleeping in here?”

“No,” she said bluntly. “You’re not the only guy that has slept in this room, but you are the first guy to sleep on the floor,” she smiled.

“Oh, why can’t I sleep on the bed then? We’ll switch,” I said.

“No.”

“What if we both sleep on the bed?” he asked.

“Not happening. Maybe in your dreams,” she laughed and headed into the bathroom to change. I looked over, noticing she was still in there and jumped into the bed, underneath the covers. As soon as she came out, I saw her shadow walk towards me and fling the covers off me.

“Yah!” I whispered loudly.

“Aish, get out of my bed,” she said and pushed me down back onto the floor. “Sleep there,” she said and turned off the lights.

I sighed and had no choice but to sleep on the floor that night.

CHAPTER ONE

01||Suicide Attempt

-HER POV-

Of course, a simple question of love is underway. What is love exactly? Something indescribable. Right. Okay, don’t get me wrong. It’s not that I have never ‘experienced’ love or anything. I just don’t see everything great in it in it. I actually find it amusing when people “like” or take interest in me. I’ve never really ‘liked’ anyone except for his pleasures as well as mine.

Truthfully, no, I’ve never actually been in love…

… I lied. Let’s not get into that.

But, it’s not like I don’t like to date or anything. Yes there have been a few one night flings. Oh, yeah, judge me. I’m one of ‘those’ kind of girls. I’m really not. Dates can lead to other things. I just don’t feel like I really need to be in a relationship to begin with. Dating is all fun and games, literally. I have fun, have a few laughs along the way, but no commitment is always the plus.

“Why don’t you find a real boyfriend?” my dear friend and roommate, Eun Chae, said.

I looked at her puzzled.

“Yeah,” my other roommate and friend, So Ryung, added.

I looked at both of them, who were both casually sitting on the couch watching TV while I was sitting down at the kitchen counter, eating my cereal. I opened my mouth to speak, but So Ryung interrupted me.

“You’re so uptight and picky, you know that?” she said.

“What?”

“Yes, you’re picky. Get yourself a boyfriend to keep yourself a bit stable.”

“Why?”

“It’s really annoying seeing several different guys in a month who come over.”

“It’s my business, why should you bother.”

“So Ryung has a point,” Eun Chae said as she switched the channel.

“But why?”

“Because, you need to stop messing around with guys and start looking for a husband.”

“Okay, Eun Chae, don’t scare the poor girl,” So Ryung laughed and looked back at me. “We just mean that it would be best for you to find a guy to keep you stable.”

“Why…? I’m fine now.”

“Because, you messing around with guys is just leading you towards a life of loneliness.”

“Okay, start off with thinking of guys that you can date,” she said, as she tried to conjure up people in her head. I sighed and looked back at my bowl of cereal. At the corner of my eye, I saw her eyes light up. She turned back to me and smiled.

“Who?” I asked.

“What about that guy you have classes with? What’s his name?”

“I don’t know… who…?”

“He’s friends with that other guy… and that other girl…”

“Yes, So Ryung, I definitely know who you’re talking about,” I said, heaving a sigh. I took a spoonful of cereal and So Ryung spoke again.

“Joon Suk. Right? That’s his name? You introduced him once, I think,” she said.

“Why?”

“He’s nice, smart, interested in the same things as you.”

“What’s wrong with him?” Eun Chae said butting in.

“I don’t like him, that’s what’s wrong,” I complained.

“I think he likes you. Why don’t you give him a chance?” So Ryung smiled.

“What? Why do you think that?”

“The way he looks at you. He likes you.”

“Whatever, I’ll prove to you that he doesn’t. Just watch,” I said and dumped the dishes in the dishwasher and headed into my room for the night.

***************

The next day, I headed to my classes at Seoul University. I would’ve lived on campus, but I found my roommates, who ended up being my two best friends, through another friend. They offered to have me move in with them when they found out I was attending the college that they were going to. On every other day, we went to class together, but on Thursdays, I had an earlier class than both of them, so I always drove by myself.

I headed into class where I saw Ha Joon Suk already sitting in the normal spot in the lecture hall, just a few rows from the front. I went around and sat next to him.

“Hey,” he said as I settled down in my seat.

“Hey,” I replied. Sadly, he was the only one in almost all my classes I really talked to. Unlike high school, I had very few friends in college. The environment of college doesn’t completely allow one to have plenty of friends because everyone is just so different.

I rummaged through my bag and pulled out my assignment out that was due for that day as well as my laptop. Before, I could speak another word to Joon Suk about how he did the assignment, the professor just walked through the front door of the lecture hall.

“Hello class,” he said. “Please go ahead and pass your assignments forward.”

A rush of papers seemed to end up in my hands out of nowhere and I passed them forward to the next row.

“Let’s begin with our lecture,” he said and stood up in front of the class with his, surprisingly non-droning tone and taught his lesson for the day. I sighed knowing that I was going to get the yawn of my life.

After a long time of him rambling on about what not to do when a virus was on the computer, most students stood up and left, while others went up to the front to ask him specific questions. What suck ups. I pulled my laptop screen down and gently put it back into my bag and stood up.

“Hey Jae Hee,” Joon Suk said as he was putting his final things away in his backpack.

“Yeah?” I asked.

“Oh, I was just wondering if you could help me out with our web development class later?” he asked as he stood up next to me.

“Um, sure,” I agreed.

“Don’t you have a class right now?”

“Yeah, but I thought I might as well walk you to yours.”

“Oh, thanks but I’m sure I can walk there by myself,” I laughed.

“Ha, ha, you’re funny Jae Hee. I meant that I would walk with you so we can figure out what time we can meet up to do the assignment before our class tonight,” he chuckled.

“Oh, right.”

“I know you always catch lunch with your friends, but maybe we could meet up an hour before our evening class?”

“Yeah,” I nodded. “It sounds good.” We began walking out of the lecture hall and walked along side each other as I headed towards the science buildings.

“We can meet up in Center Building,” he said.

“And grab something to eat while we’re doing it? Sounds good,” I smiled.

“Yeah, sure,” he laughed. “Okay, I’m go this way, but I’ll meet you later tonight,” he waved and headed off in the opposite direction.

I chuckled to myself. He likes me, how amusing.

Ha…ha…

Damn it. So Ryung was right.

I sighed.

After my biology class, I headed to the Center Building which was the center for the most socializing. It was a four story building with a food court, a library, and computer lab. Most of the building just had places to sit and study or just to lounge around. I headed up to the third floor, where most people ate and lounged around. I walked up the stairs and from a distance I saw my two friends, already sitting down and eating without me.

“Hey,” I said as I placed my books down. I sat down across from them and took out my laptop.

“Always on your laptop, Jae Hee,” So Ryung said, shaking her head.

“So?” I retorted.

“This is why you will never find yourself a good boyfriend.”

“I don’t want to be in a relationship, and that is my choice.”

“Oh naïve, naïve, Jae Hee. It’s not the relationship, it’s what you can get out of a relationship.”

“What?”

“A guy that will actually care for you all the time, instead of for that night, and that night alone.”

“Ehh,” I said, shrugging my shoulders. I looked passed my laptop and saw Joon Suk and a group of friends walking towards my direction. He stopped in front of me. I looked up at him since he was at least two feet taller than me when I was sitting down.

“Hey, Jae Hee, sorry to interrupt your lunch session, but do you think we could meet earlier? I’ve got to go to the library to print out the assignment before class,” he said.

“Uh, yeah, sure,” I nodded.

“Oh, I’m sorry, these are my friends, Sung Sik, Young Woo, and Eun Young,” he said, pointing to two very good looking guys, and a cute dressed girl.

“Hey,” I said.

“Ahem…” So Ryung rudely said.

“Oh, these are my roommates and friends, So Ryung, and Eun Chae,” I said, introducing them both.

“Hello,” the girl, Eun Young, smiled.

“Nice to meet you guys,” Eun Chae said.

“Yes, pleasure to meet you all,” one of the guys, Young Woo, said.

“Well, we’ll leave you all alone. See you later, Jae Hee!” Joon Suk said, waving, as they walked away. I turned back to my computer, but So Ryung slammed it closed.

“Yah! What was that for?” I asked.

“He likes you,” she smirked.

“What? How do you know?”

“The way he smiled and talked to you.”

“No way,” I denied. I had to win this one. They were always right about a guy liking me, but it always ended up as a one night stand, or a few dates for that month, but no longer than that.

“Why are you denying it too?” she asked.

“Because…”

“Want to bet?” she asked.

“Ergh… no…”

“You know I’m right.”

“Yes, you’re right. You’re always right,” I said and folded my arms across my chest.

“Then, why don’t you go out with him. He’s good looking. If I was you, I definitely would.”

“Then you date him,” I said.

“Naïve.”

“Okay, honestly, I would, but he’s a nice guy and I can’t have it lead to another one night stand, or a friend with benefits,” I sighed.

“So you like him?” Eun Chae asked as she pushed her glasses to her face.

“No, I just don’t want to hurt his feelings and just disappointing him when he realizes that I don’t want a relationship like that.”

“Ah, we’ll wait and see,” So Ryung smirked.

“Fine… fine… I‘ll try this whole relationship thing... I’ve got to get to class,” I sighed and packed up my stuff and headed downstairs and out of the building to my math class.

After class, I headed back into the Center Building, CB for short. As soon as I hit the top step, I saw Joon Suk intensely reading his book. I laughed to myself as I walked by next to him and plopped my books down on the table, creating a loud bang noise. He looked up, startled and realized it was me.

“Hey,” he smiled.

“Sorry for the noise. These books are heavy,” I complained as I began massaging my arms.

“Come here,” he said and pulled up a chair next to him for me to it in. I sat down and he took my arm and began rubbing and massaging it.

“Wow, that feels really good. Where did you learn to massage like this?” I asked.

“My grandfather,” he replied. “He works as a masseur at a local therapy office. He gave me tips on how to massage certain muscles, especially when I was playing sports.”

“Oh, wow. That’s cool,” I said. He continued massaging and it felt amazing. After a few minutes I gently pushed his hand away. “Thanks. We should get you started on this assignment,” I said.

He pulled out a sheet of paper and presented it to me.

“You’ve already done it?” I asked, surprised.

“Yeah, while I was waiting for you. I figured that it wasn’t as difficult as I thought it was,” he chuckled.

“No, it’s not. I told you it wasn’t,” I said, shrugging my shoulders.

“Hey, I was wondering if…” he began.

“What?”

“I mean, wanna go out on Friday night?”

“What?” I repeated, trying to grasp what he was trying to tell me.

“Go out on a date to watch a movie? There’s a new movie coming out. I was wondering if you wanted to go with me.”

“Oh…” I hesitated. He looked down with a disappointed look on his face. I contemplated. He was good looking, smart, nice… just not my type…

“I---,” I began and suddenly So Ryung’s face popped into my head. I nodded to myself, obeying her advice and looked over at Joon Suk who at this point, had a confused look on his face. “Oh… Um, sure. I’ll go on a date with you,” I hesitated to say.

“Are you sure?” he asked again, looking at me, a bit concerned.

“Yeah,” I nodded. “I was just trying to think if I was busy on Friday.”

“Sounds good. Um, should I pick you up or do you want to meet there?” he asked.

“Oh… um…” I began. I didn’t want him to know where I lived. What if he was a stalker…?

“I should pick you up. I offered you on this date---,” he began, but I quickly cut him off.

“Oh, no. It’s okay,” I nodded, “I’ll just meet you there. I have some errands to run, so I won’t be home for you to pick me up. We can meet up in the Cinema near North Seoul Mall?” I asked.

“Sounds good,” he nodded.

I looked at my cell phone and it was about time to go to class. “We better head out,” I suggested.

“Mhm,” he nodded, also looking at his wristwatch. We both stood up and walked to our class together.

After class, I left ahead of him, hoping that he wouldn’t follow me to my car. I hated stalkers. Some guys that I dated were stalkers and since then, I was always careful with what I did.

I took a wrong turn on campus, and ended up near the science building. It was getting chilly and it was pretty late. It was nearly 12 o’clock after I finally finished studying. I decided to walk through the building since it was the fastest way to get to the parking lot. I swung the door open and it was like a desert. There was no one around. It was almost… eerie. I felt a chill up my spine and quickly walked through the building and saw the other door to the exit. I began walking faster and, stupidly enough, tripped over my own shoes. I was such a klutz. I picked my stuff up and looked up in the classroom in front of me. There was a belt hanging with a circular end, just enough to fit a person’s head. My heart nearly jumped out of my chest at the thought of someone trying to commit suicide.

As soon as I stood up, I stood back to take a peek inside, hoping no one could see me, but then again, hoping no one was in there.

I jumped back as I saw a shadow climb on top of a chair and take the belt closer to its neck. Without even thinking I ran to the doorknob which of course was locked. I quickly rammed my bag into the window, shattering the glass to pieces and reached inside to reach for the doorknob to jiggle the door open. The dark figure of a man was already hanging on the belt, but I quickly jumped on the chair and untied the belt from the ceiling.

The man dropped onto the ground.

“Oh my gosh…” I whispered to myself and jumped down next to him. I quickly unwrapped the belt from his neck. There was a red burn mark from the belt around his neck. His head was facing the other direction. I gently turned his head towards me.

I gasped.

A familiar face.

Chapter thirteen: An Unforgettable Morning

“Hey, are you awake yet?” a voice asked beside me.

“What…?” I yawned with my eyes still closed.

“Are you awake,” the voice whispered again.

“Mm…” I opened my eyes slowly and Jung Ho's face was in front of my face. “AHH!” I yelled and rolled out of my bed.

“Morning sweetheart.”

“What the hell?!” I yelled. “What are you doing here!” I quickly stood up and wrapped myself with my blanket. I was only wearing a pair of shorts and a long sleeve.

“I wanted to see you this morning and take you to school,” he smiled.

“No! I’m fine. I can drive there. Please, I can get there myself…”

“But, maybe you’re tired of driving and I just thought---”

“No! It’s fine. Jung Ho. Please. It’s 3 in the morning. I have four more hours to sleep and school doesn’t even start until 8. Leave me alone,” I yawned and crawled back into bed.

“Fine…” he sighed.

“Yes, thank you. I’ll see you there.” I turned twisted around in my bed and faced the opposite direction where Jung Ho was standing.

“I guess I’ll just… stay here with you!” he said gleefully and jumped into my bed next to me.

“AHH! Get out! Get out!” I yelled. I grabbed my blanket and pushed him off my bed.

“Yah! Why did you push your own boyfriend off your bed?”

“Ugh! You’re not really my boyfriend. This is temporary until I can stop getting you to blackmail me,” I sighed.

“Yeah, yeah. Whatever, scoot over,” he said.

“No! Get out! Wait… how did you get in here anyway?” I asked.

“Ji Sung gave me a spare key since he didn’t want to wake up so early to open the door for me.”

“What?! Ji Sung Oppa?! Ugh! He’s gonna die!” I almost yelled and jumped out of bed. “That stupid a**hole… I’m going to kick his a** as soon as I wake him up.” I started walking quickly towards the door and Jung Ho stood in my way. “Get out of my way.”

“No. Don’t get mad at him. He’s one of my best friend. Get mad at me for all I care. At least you’ll be thinking about me,” he smiled.

“No!”

“Stop yelling. Your parents are gonna wake up and see you and me in the same room together…” he began.

“I’ll just tell them the truth.”

“They won’t believe you. You’re the innocent one of the family and won’t let anyone in your room at all. They’re not surprised if Ji Hye and Ji Sung have friends in their rooms this late at night, but you’re different,” he grinned. He was so right, d*mn it.

“Shut up… Will you just please leave? I need those extra two hours of sleep," I whined.

“Fine… fine. Can I stay in bed with you?” he asked.

“No!” I yelled.

“Can I stay until you fall asleep?”

“No!”

“Please?” he asked again with his puppy dog face.

“No!”

“Ji Eun! Is that you yelling this early?!” Umma’s voice yelled from upstairs.

“No, it’s Ji Hye! Sorry Umma! I’ll keep it down.”

“Go to sleep Ji Hye!”

“Yes Umma!” I yelled back. “She’s half asleep now and won’t remember any of this in a few hours.”

“So, let me just stay and you can sleep. I’m not gonna do anything to you while you’re sleeping if that’s what you’re thinking.”

“No… Still, you’re a weird guy on the inside… Just leave. I don’t want to have this argument right now. I’m tired!” I groaned.

“Oh, our first argument. Good,” he smiled with that perverted look in his eyes.

“Ergh… I don’t know exactly what you’re thinking right now, but I really don’t wanna know. Just go…” I sighed.

“Come on, can I please stay?” he whined.

“Oh, you whine too much! Go sleep with Ji Hye or Ji Sung or something.”

“Ji Hye… are you kidding? She’ll try to seduce me. And if I sleep in Ji Sung’s room, that’ll just be plain gay,” he said bluntly.

“Yeah, true. Oh well. Get out of my room…!”

“I’ll sleep on the floor," he offered.

“No! Get out!” I stood up and went up to him and dragged him out of my room. He stood in the hallway and I slammed the door on him. “Good night Jung Ho,” I said from the other side of the door. I crawled back into bed and switched off my light. I closed my eyes and went to sleep again…

***********

“Ji Eun, Ji Eun,” a voice said as they shook me awake.

“Ehh, okay school, I know, I know Appa. Please, just another minute, I was rudely interrupted last night…” I yawned with my eyes still closed and put the covers back on me.

“Get up. It’s almost eight o’clock!” the voice yelled.

“What?!” I said and jumped up. Jung Ho was standing in front of me again. “AHH! You again! What do you want?” I yelled.

“I heard you start mumbling something in your sleep last night and you started yelling. So you forgot to lock your door and I thought I might as well come in and see what was wrong. You were just yelling. So I slipped into your bed next to you to help you calm down… and I kind of fell asleep too,” he grinned.

“Whaaaa? AHH! You… and me… in the same… bed?! Ergh… Why me? Oh why me?! Of all people, how did he have to get stuck with me?!” I said with my hands up and my head staring at the ceiling.

“Stop being a drama queen. You know you liked it. You stopped screaming as soon as I put my arms around you.”

My eyes widened. “Your arms were around me?! Ahh!” I cried. I slammed a pillow in my face and fell facing forward onto my bed.

“It’s not that bad.”

“Don’t you understand? I don’t like you one bit! I don’t. I just don’t. You’re not even near my type. I don’t even have a type. I hate love. Love is for losers who can’t find a better thing to do in life than to admire one person. Ugh… I have my school work that I admire greatly. The only people that’ll be in my hear are the members of TVXQ, Fly to the Sky, and Kim Jung Hoon. They can come love me any day. Besides that, then I have no other love besides my parents,” I stated.

“What about Ji Sung and Ji Hye?” he asked.

“They’re just related to me. I have to love them by default. I don’t like them as much as I don’t like you, which is a lot. Trust me.”

“If you didn’t like me so much… why didn’t you tell me?” he questioned.

“I did!” I retorted.

“Yeah, I know you did. I just like teasing you,” he smiled.

“Okay, you’re wasting my morning routine time. I need to go brush my teeth still and wash my face and change… You’re such a bothersome guy, you know that? I don’t like you. Please just give up on this whole trying to get me to like you thing, please?” I asked.

“No. I know inside, you really do like me. You just haven’t realized it.”

“No, I don’t like you as a friend, I don’t like you as a boyfriend, I don’t like you as a person, period. Now get out of my room so I can change!” I yelled and pushed him out. I slammed the door and locked it shut this time. ERGH!!!! I looked over at the clock and it was 7:39 already. School started in 20 minutes and I wasn’t even near ready. I ran into my bathroom and brushed my teeth and washed my face in the fastest I’ve ever done. I slipped on my long knee high socks and my skirt and on top, my button up school uniform blouse. I grabbed my bag and books and ran downstairs. Everyone except my parents (they went to work early at around 6 and came home around 4) were eating calmly.

“You didn’t tell me Jung Ho was coming over,” Ji Sung mentioned.

“Yeah… he did with the spare key that you gave him! And what are you all doing just sitting there. We have 10 minutes to get to school!” I yelled as I hopped around the kitchen trying to grab something to eat.

“What are you talking about. We still have half an hour…” Ji Hye explained.

“What?” I asked. I pulled out my cell phone and it read 7:29... “AHH! What is wrong with all my clocks!”

“I don’t know sweetie, just sit down,” Jung Ho suggested and pulled out a chair next to him.

“Jung Ho, how come you didn’t sleep in my room last night?” Ji Hye asked.

“Because you’re not my girlfriend. I don’t like you,” he answered.

“Hmph,” she pouted.

“Anyway, I decided to go have some fun with my baby,” he winked at me.

“I was considering sitting next to you up until now,” I said.

“You guys did what?!” Ji Hye interrupted.

“Nothing Ji Hye. Shut up," I answered her.

“Just because I’m stupid doesn’t mean you have authority over me. I’m 2 minutes older than you!”

“How do you know? Umma never told you that. She said she doesn’t know who was older because she named us after we came out and by then she couldn’t tell. Funny, since we didn‘t even end up as identical twins,” I sighed.

“Hmph, whatever,” she pouted again and began eating her food.

“I’m going to school now,” I said as I took a piece of toast and stuffed it in my mouth. “I have enough of you guys here and school, I need some alone time to myself.”

“Want me to come with you?” Jung Ho asked as he stood up.

“No, Jung Ho. Stay with them. Just let me have my normal morning. I’ll see you at school,” I mumbled and left them at the table eating. Why me…? Why was I stuck with this guy? Why the hell did I say yes to his request in the first place…?!

Chapter Twelve: Revealing the News

Jung Ho and I arrived back at school and still had a half an hour of lunch to go. We got out of the car and he had one arm around me as we entered the cafeteria. Everyone’s eyes turned to us and the cafeteria went silent.

“What are you all looking at?” he yelled. “Yeah, Yoon Ji Eun and I are going out officially. She has finally said yes!” he smiled. He kissed me on the cheek in front of everyone.

“Yah!” I yelled and everyone looked at me as if I was crazy. “I mean… uh… Yeah, we’re going out…” I groaned.

“See! So, she’s mine. No one better take her!” he frowned. Everyone began whispering and he followed me to my table where oddly, Ji Sung, Ji Hye, and Suk Jin were sitting with my friends. Jung Ho’s arm was still around me and we stood in front of our table as they stared.

“You’re kidding right?” Tae Hoon mumbled.

“No…” I murmured.

“So, it’s official?” Mi So asked. “You two are really going out? You actually agreed?”

“Yeah, Mi So,” Jung Ho butted in, “she did.”

“Agk. Yes…” I confessed.

“Wow Ji Eun, who knew that you would actually go out with him…?” Ji Sung mentioned.

“Yeah, I know. Who knew I would…”

“Change of heart?” Jae Wook asked.

“I guess.”

“So, you two must really be happy, especially you right Ji Eun,” Suk Jin smiled at me. Oh, he was so cute and nice. Why couldn’t he like me?! Why was it Jung Ho! Ahh!

“Ehh, yeah,” I gritted my teeth, trying to smile.

“Well, are you hungry?” Tae Hoon asked me.

“Tae Hoon, no need to worry about her anymore since she has me. You can stop being her boyfriend from now on,” Jung Ho said formally.

“Ehh, yeah. I’ll be right back. I’ll go get my lunch from my locker…” I said and stood up.

“Do you need me to accompany you my dear?” Jung Ho asked as he stood up.

“No, I can walk there. It’s just around the corner.”

“You sure?”

“Jung Ho… I’m not five years old. I’m fine.”

“Fine, I’ll sit here and wait for you. Hurry. We have a half hour left of lunch!” he exclaimed.

“Yeah,” I muttered as I walked away. I dawdled out of the cafeteria and out to the lockers. I went around the corner to the hallway where my locker was and I felt a presence behind me, but I thought I was feeling things since everyone was at lunch. I opened my locker and took out my lunch. As soon as I slammed it shut, a face popped up behind it. It was Suk Jin.

“Suk Jin?” I asked.

“Yeah,” he said with his sweet face.

“What are you doing here?”

“To come see you. You don’t really like him do you?”

“What? Why think that?” I asked.

“You left him within the first 10 minutes he confessed his claim to you. No one has ever done that before. Anyone who he’s ever talked to has stuck by him for at least another hour more. He’s a chick magnet… literally.”

“Eh… He’s a nice guy, I guess…” I hesitated.

“I know you don’t," he said confidently.

“So what’s it to you?”

“Just curious…” he said and looked off somewhere else.

“Okay, what ever. I’m going back to finish my…”

Brrringgg!

“What! I thought lunch didn’t end for another half hour,” I said looking at my watch. He looked over my shoulder at my watch.

“Your watch is fifteen minutes slow.”

“Oh…How did that happen…?” I mumbled to myself.

“Shall I escort you to class since your boyfriend is still at lunch and far away from here?” he asked politely.

“Uh, I guess, if you really want to…” I sighed. See how sweet he was? And he was much cuter, at least to me… We walked along side of each other and I heard a yell from down the hall that sounded quite familiar.

“Yah!” the familiar voice yelled. The entire hallway turned to look at who it was except for me. I ignored the call and went on.

“Yah! Ji Eun!” the voice yelled again. It was obviously Jung Ho’s voice. I ignored him and kept walking.

“Hey, Ji Eun,” Suk Jin whispered. He tugged on my shirt and turned me around.

“What?” I sighed. Jung Ho was standing down the hallway with a look that I couldn’t explain. It’s like he was smiling, but was angry at the same time, but mostly angry. Everyone’s eyes looked at him. He walked up to Suk Jin and me.

“What are you two doing together… without me?” he asked.

“I went to get my lunch,” I stated clearly. “He followed me,” I pointed to Suk Jin.

“I didn’t follow her, she begged me to come with her,” he said.

“Yah! Why are you making up lies?!” I asked.

“I’m not,” he let out a subtle laugh.

“Whatever. I’m going to class. I’m going to be late,” I said and walked off. Jung Ho grabbed my arm and stopped me.

“Yah! I said I was going to be late. The bell rung and my class is on the other side---.” I said Jung Ho looked at me sternly and grabbed me will full force and pushed me against his body. He wrapped his arms around me and began breathing really hard.

“You’re mine,” he whispered.

“What?!” I yelled and tried to get out of the grasp of his arm. I couldn’t see, but I felt a crowd of people staring at us and whispering.

“You’re mine and no one else’s. You better not flirt with anyone else,” he whispered.

“What…? Ahh! I can’t breef---!” I yelled. He finally let go of me. I coughed out all the saliva that went down my throat as I was trapped in his arms trying to search for air. I opened my eyes and I was right. A crowd of people surrounded us and so did our groups of friends.

“What are you all looking at?!” Ji Sung yelled. “Get to class!” Everyone scattered and rushed into their classes leaving us eight in the middle of the hallway.

“Okay, I’m going to take her to class,” Jung Ho smiled as he put his arm around me. I stood there trying to push it off.

“Yeah, we’ll see you later then,” Ji Sung yelled.

“Wait! Jung Ho! Come with me!” Ji Hye yelled.

“Shut up Ji Hye,” Ji Sung sighed. He grabbed her and dragged her along with Suk Jin next to him.

“Wait, Jae Wook is in my next class!” I stated. “Jae Wook, hurry up!” I yelled.

“Nuh uh,” Ji Sung nodded and grabbed him as well as he tried to come to me. “You’re going this way through the school.”

“Ji Eun!” he cried.

“Come on guys,” I said. “This is ridiculous.”

“No, just go,” Ji Sung suggested.

“Fine… bye then my dearest friends…” I said sarcastically.

“Shut up and let’s go. You’re too much of a drama queen,” Jung Ho sighed and dragged me along with him.

“Yeah, I’ve been told that…”

“What’s with you?” he asked.

“You never used to act like this. You used to turn red when I first came over to your house when you were still in middle school and I was in my first year of high school,” he smiled.

“I don’t remember this,” I pretended to yawn.

“Yeah, you did. I remember.”

“Whatever. Here, my class, get going. I’m already 20 minutes late,” I sighed as we stopped a few feet from the door.

“I can fix that,” he smiled.

“Ugh… what are you going to do now…?”

“Watch,” he grinned and walked in his arm still around me. Everyone’s eyes darted right on us, and the girls mostly on me with their evil stares. What did I do? I didn’t take their boyfriend since they didn’t even talk to him anyway…

“Excuse me Mr. Lee, how can we help you?” Ms. Kim asked.

“I’m sorry for having Yoon Ji Eun late to class today. I’ve been keeping her out to speak with her about some issues that I had to take care of. Especially now that we’re going out as you may all have heard---.” As soon as he said this, the guys’ eyes widened and the girl’s just kept their evil eyes on their faces. “And I needed to discuss some matters that involved her in it as you know, meeting my parents and all…” he grinned.

“What?! Meeting your parents?!” I yelled. The room went dead silent.

“Yeah, all my girlfriends meet them. But I usually wait a few months or so. With you, I’m going just going to bring you.”

“No. I’m not going.”

“Please, Ji Eun…” he said and had that face on that you couldn’t say no to. He had his puppy dog face on. I couldn’t refuse to say no.

“We’ll discuss this later…” I mumbled.

“Thank you sweetie,” he smiled and kissed me on the cheek. “Okay, thank you sir and classmates! I just wanted to let all of you to know! Bye!” he said and rushed out the door.

“Am I excused sir…?” I asked my teacher.

“Yes of course you are,” he smiled. “Please take your seat.”

“I went to the back and sat down next to Jae Wook.”

“What took you guys so long?” he whispered.

“That jerk took forever to walk around the hallway…”

“Oh…”

“Mr. Park and Ms. Yoon. Please pay attention!” Mr. Choi yelled.

Chapter Eleven: Under Certain Circumstances

“Spread it around school?” I asked.

“Yes,” Jung Ho answered.

“No! You can’t! No one knows about this. I just got it back now…” I replied.

“Not even your classmates?” Jung Ho pondered.

“No… I didn’t say a word to anyone. So please, don’t,” I begged.

“Hm… Even better,” he grinned.

“No! Please Jung Ho…”

“I won’t for now. Follow me to my car and we’ll make agreements there…”

“What?! Why?! Make out session is your answer or something?” I asked.

“Well, if you insist,” he grinned with a perverted look in his eyes.

“No!”

“Well, I have a better idea. Just follow me,” he smirked evilly. I sighed and followed him out to his car in the parking lot. I sat in the passenger seat while he was in the driver’s seat. He turned on the car and backed out of the parking lot.

“Yah! Where are we going?!” I yelled.

“I’m hungry. I’m gonna go get something to eat and you’re coming with me.”

“Yah! I never agreed to this!”

“You agreed to come to my car,” he smirked.

“Urgh!” We drove up to a fast food place and he ordered a burger and fries.

“You want anything sweetie?”

“No, I have my own lunch thanks…” I murmured.

“Okay then. One burger, large fries, and a coke!” he yelled into the little speaker box thing.

“Will that be all?” it answered.

“Yeah.”

“Please pay and receive your order up ahead.”

“Thank you!” We pulled up, while he paid and received his food. We drove up to a park near the school and he parked.

“Come on, get out,” he said.

“What? Why?” I asked.

“So I can eat on the picnic table and not get my car all dirty.”

“Fine…” I came out with a frown on my face while he smiled. I don’t know why, but he just did. I followed and sat down across from him on the wooden table. He pulled out his food and started munching.

“Aren’t you going to eat?” he asked.

“My food is at school.”

“What?! I thought you said you had some!”

“I do… at school.”

“Here, take a bite," he offered.

“No," I replied.

“Some fries?”

“I refuse to share germs with you.”

“Eat something! I don’t want you to starve.”

“I’m fine.”

“Please?” he begged.

“No.”

“Ji Eun,” he begged and looked at me with puppy dog eyes.

“Why am I here with you? What’s the catch?”

“Oh, I like your company,” he smiled.

“Ugh…”

“Well, okay,” he said as he wiped his mouth and hands. He put his food aside and held my hands. I quickly pulled them away.

“Yah! What’s your problem?!”

“Okay, so you have this test right,” he said as he pulled it out.

“Yah! Give it back!” I said, trying to grab it.

“This is a big part of your grade… If people find out about this, your reputation is ruined. Your parents will kill you. Ji Hye and Ji Sung will make fun of you for life…” he explained.

“I know! Give it back!”

He put it in front of me and pulled it away as soon as I tried to reach for it. “Nah uh. Wait, you have to agree to something,” he smirked.

“What…”

“Be my girlfriend.”

“What?!”

“That’s all you have to do.”

“No! I told you already! I will continue to say no!”

“Fine, then this’ll be spread around to everyone…” he grinned.

“But… Jung Ho, please?”

“Only if you agree to be my girlfriend.”

“Are you trying to blackmail me?!” I yelled.

“Yes, basically.”

“Urgh…” I groaned.

“So yes?” he asked.

“Uh…”

“So, it’s a yes.”

“YAH! I didn’t answer! My answer is still no. No matter what I will say no.”

“Well… I guess then your parents are going to find out. Actually, it wouldn’t be bad for you to have a terrible reputation.”

“What?! No!”

“You’ve been one of the best since you were young. This would ruin your chances to go to college!” he grinned.

“No… Please, don’t tell anyone…”

“Then be my girlfriend.”

“Well… fine. But only under certain circumstances!” I agreed.

“Circumstances?”

“Yeah. I’ll agree if you agree to some things that I offer.”

“Okay… Fine, what are they?”

“Number one, I don’t like you. Don’t assume that just because I agreed. Got it?” I said.

“Okay,” he sighed.

“Okay. Number two, don’t kiss me.”

“What! Why not?! Lips?” he questioned.

“No.”

“Cheeks?”

“No.”

“Come on, at least your cheeks," he begged.

“Fine…” I agreed.

“Number three, hugging is permitted.”

“Yes!” he said and hugged me.

“Yeah… get off me.”

“Okay. Next. Number four, no gifts or flowers.”

“Why not?” he asked.

“That shows signs of affection, along with holding hands. That would be number five.”

“What?! Why not?!”

“Because, I said so," I said.

“Fine.”

“Last but not least, number six, definitely no saying ‘I love you.’” I said sternly. “Got it?”

“What?! Why not?”

“Because, that’s a sign of affection. I don’t believe in love.”

“What? Why not? You should. Actually of all people, I thought you would the most.”

“Well, you’re wrong. Too many dramas and crap had led me to believe that love is a lie and it’ll only happen when something bad happens to you. I don’t want anything bad to happen to me. It’s psychotic and only for those who are in need for a life. I have one, and you’re only my boyfriend. A friend that is a boy who happens to like me. Nothing else. Got it?”

“Yeah…” he sighed. I pulled out a sheet of paper and scribbled something down:

I put my hand out in a handshake position.

“What are you doing?” Jung Ho asked.

“Shaking your hand to seal the deal. This is an official handshake and you have signed this agreement. You and I are witnesses and will abide by them until we break up. Got it?”

“Okay… Are you sure I can’t kiss you?”

I looked at him sternly.

“Fine… fine, I agree,” he said and put out his hand. We shook as the seal of agreement. I took the piece of paper and folded it and put it in my planner.

“I’ll keep this in here for future reference,” I stated.

“So it’s official? We’re going out?” he asked.

“Yes.”

“YES!” he yelled and hugged me. “Don’t say anything, you said I could hug you.”

“Yeah, I know. Can I have my test back now?”

“Oh right… You better not rip that piece of paper up as soon as you get your test back,” he glared.

“I won’t. Goodness. Can I please have it now?”

“Yeah, here” he said as he handed me back my failing test. He grabbed me and hugged me tightly and kissed me on my cheek. Aish, I can’t believe I just agreed to this…

Chapter Ten: Uh Oh

Ms. Kim stood at the front of the class with a stack of stapled papers in her arm.

“Today is your midterm exam. It is 10% of your final grade, so I hope you studied,” she glared us down like a hawk. “I will pass out the exam face down. Do NOT turn it over until I say so.” She emphasized the not very clearly. She handed out the test on each person’s desk until she reached the end of the class room. We went silent.

“There will be no talking during the exam! If you do, you will automatically fail! You may begin now,” she stated. She sat back down in her desk which was placed in front of the classroom. She looked up to glare at the students once in awhile. I looked down at my test and wrote down my name to being with.

Hm… Sections A. It looks pretty easy. I answered it quite thoroughly. Sections B, C, and D were all pretty easy. Three more sections to go. And I had so much time left. Ms. Kim was still glaring around as the rest of the class fell asleep. Section E… What? What is this? I’ve never seen it before… but… I thought… Oh, maybe… No. Argh! I don’t know what it is! Agk! Section F? Isn’t this what I was supposed to learn when I was sent out in the hallway… Aish! It’s Jung Ho’s fault! The last has got to be easy… Section G. What?! What is this?! This is English and I’ve always done well, but this makes no sense!!! Crap! I don’t know any of this! Ahh! I’ve been annoyed and worried about trying to avoid Jung Ho so much that I’ve forgotten to study for this since I’ve been rudely interrupted all those times. Ahh! I’m going to fail now. mini cooper. I’m so screwed.

**************

My heart was pounding as I entered the class the next day. Emotionless faces glared around the room as they awaited quietly for their results. I sat down in my normal near the front and luckily none of my friends were in this class to bother me. Ms. Kim entered the room and we all went silent.

“Class, the results were overall good. It shows how each of you studied,” she smiled. “I think you will be happy with your results.” She went around and smiled. She handed each person their test and each one, except the people in the back smiled and jumped up. My heart relieved itself and as soon she came to me, she frowned. No one was paying attention to her since I was the last to receive it. I stared at the paper worried as mini cooper. I turned it around…
...
...
...

F

F?! The letter F?!

“It was really suppose to be a F-, but since you’re a good student have never gotten lower than a B+ in the class, I gave you a few extra points. Do better next time,” she said disappointingly.

I stared at my paper in shock. F? I’ve never gotten lower than a B, and that B was because I handed it in late! I’ve been one of the top of my class until now… If anyone found out, I’d be dead. I need to work my ass off for the rest of the year! My eyes began watering and the bell rang. I stared at my paper while everyone rushed out. I grabbed my paper and walked out slowly.

“Do better next time… Maybe I’ll let you do a project for extra points okay?” Ms. Kim offered.

“Yeah…” I said and walked out her door. I heard a rustling coming down the hallway and someone slammed into me. My papers floated slowly down to the floor. I bent over to try to pick them up and I saw another hand reach out for it.

“Sorry honey… let me…” Jung Ho picked up my test and stared at it.

“Yah! Stop staring at it…”

“Ji Eun… is this yours?” he grinned.

“Yah! Why do you care?” I asked.

“Because… I’ll spread it around school...”

Chapter Nine: Rumors

“Ms. Kim! May I please use the restroom?” I asked as I jumped up and down. People behind me were giggling as I stood up.

“Yes, take the bathroom pass Ms. Yoon and hurry up. We’re starting a new unit soon,” she sighed.

“Yes, ma’am!”

I quickly gaited to the bathroom as quickly as I could. I made it down the hallway and in front of the door of the girl’s bathroom. I swung the door opened and went to the first stall. … Ahh, relief. I stared at the bathroom door… Hm? Ji Eun? What is my name doing up there…?

Yoon Ji Eun is such a whore!

Ji Eun? Just a slut wanting some with Jung Ho.

Ji Eun & Jung Ho will NEVER be!

Jung Ho HATES Ji Eun.

Slut = Ji Eun

What the h*ll? Why were these all over the door? Did people hate me just because Jung Ho admitted that he liked me or something?! Normally I didn’t really care about what people thought of me, but this was too absurd. Me, a slut? Not even near possible. I glared at the words and was about to get up and flush the toilet but two girls walked in.

“…Ji Eun?” one said.

“Yeah, that slut. I can’t believe she is pretending to hate Jung Ho,” the other answered.

“Yeah, I know. She’s just playing hard to get.”

“I don’t even think he likes her.”

“Yeah, I bet he’s getting paid to say this crap. I’m sure I’d look better with him, don’t you think?”

“What about me?”

“Well, either of us is better than that nerdy Ji Eun. Just because her brother and sister are popular, now she’s trying to be with them too… What a shame.”

“I heard she was caught making out with him in the guys locker room. She followed him in there and almost raped him!”

“Poor Jung Ho, I feel sorry for him.”

I couldn’t stand it. I pulled up my skirt and underwear and flushed the toilet. I swung the door open and the girls gasped.

“Ji Eun!” they said in unison.

“Who the h*ll told you this information?” I asked.

“No one…”

“Are you trying to start rumors?” I said angrily.

“Eww, are you trying to be threatening now or something?” one of the girls said.

“No. I’m just asking.”

“Psh, trying to be tough now,” the other said.

“Yah! Who told you?” I yelled.

“Why do you care?”

“Because I’m going to yell at who ever started these rumors!”

“Oh, someone… close to you,” one of them said.

“Jung Ho?!” I yelled.

“No,” the first girl said.

“Who…?” I questioned.

…..

“Your sister,” she grinned.

“Ji Hye?” I asked.

“Yeah.”

“Oh, go figure. Whatever. Sorry, but to be honest, I don’t think I’m the slut, I think you are,” I grinned. “…by the way… I’m sure that Jung Ho likes me, and will never like you. No matter how many times I tell the guy I don’t like him.” They glared at me with the ‘what the hell was that’ face as I walked out of the bathroom searching for Ji Hye like a hawk. I peeked at all her classes and finally found her not even in class, but she was in the courtyard with the rest of LBY.

“Yah!” I yelled as I walked towards her.

“Hey,” she smiled.

“Yah! Why are you spreading rumors about me?”

“What?”

“You’re spreading rumors about me being a slut and sh*t. What’s your problem?!”

“I didn’t though.”

“Some girls in the bathroom told me you did.” I saw Jung Ho smirking in the back. “…YOU!” I yelled and glared right at Jung Ho.

“’What?” he yelled.

“You started rumors?!”

“Maybe…” he grinned.

“Yah!” I yelled.

“Will you say yes now to make the rumors true?”

“No! I’m not a slut!”

“Slut? D*mn, that went far,” he said with a worried expression on his face.

“Yeah…”

“Say yes then?”

“No! I told you, I have said no and will continue to say no. Leave me alone Jung Ho!”

“Please?” he begged.

“The rumors need to stop.”

“I’ll make them if you say yes.”

“What?!” I yelled.

“Yeah, I told you there would be consequences…”

“But the rumors are too far!”

“Sorry, I’ll make them stop…”

“Argh! Yah! I told you no matter what you do or say, I will still say no!”

“Fine…” he sighed.

Chapter Eight: Suicide

Suicide. I’m going to commit suicide if this goes on any longer. I can’t stand Jung Ho’s annoyance! Yes, I’m in detention right now sitting in front of Ms. Kim just eating my food and writing this down actually. I’m going to commit suicide. It’s only been a few days, but I will. I have never actually thought about it, but this would be a great reason to do it…

Argh, getting off subject. I need to be doing my work…

Dazing off again. Thinking of other things. Entrance exams are soon! Ahh! Which class to be in next year? Hopefully Class 4-A, like I have been since grade school. But, anyways…

Wham! A wad of paper bounced off my head and landed on the floor next to my foot. “Yah!” I yelled and looked outside. It was Jung Ho. He smiled and waved, and then went off somewhere I guess.

“Ms. Yoon. Is there something wrong now?” Ms. Kim asked.

“No…”

“Then stop flirting with Mr. Lee please.”

“What?! Flirting?!”

“Don’t raise that tone of voice with me!”

“Sorry ma’am…” I said. She continued reading her book as I looked down at the wad of paper. Jung Ho peeked his head back in and pointed to the paper. I glared at him and flicked him off. He just smiled and left. I picked up the stupid ball of paper and opened it. It, of course, was crinkled and had some very terrible handwriting on it.

Meet me in the parking lot when you’re done sweetie. <3
^ ^
- Jung Ho

You’ve got to be kidding me. This guy is actually pretty odd, come to think of it… But still he keeps his image as the hottest guy with his fine masculinity and amazing facial features. And I love his hair, if that’s one thing I’d have to admit about the that I liked, it was his hair. Most definitely… Wait, parking lot?! What now…? Must I go? Do I really have to? I debated for awhile and wanted to see what The Annoyance had in mind… Ms. Kim fell asleep and there was still 10 minutes left of lunch. I decided that since I was somewhat bad already that skipping the last ten minutes of detention wouldn’t be too bad. I quietly snuck out of the classroom and into the noisy hallway as kids were finishing up lunch or coming back from dining out. I dragged myself out into the parking lot where it was pretty cold since winter was just about to end and spring was going to start the next month.

“Jung Ho. What do you want?” I asked as I walked over to him. He took me and hugged me. “AHH! Put me down!”

“Oh, I’m glad you came. Here,” he said and pulled out an orange.

“… An orange…?”

“I thought your favorite fruit was orange.”

“No. My favorites are banana and mango.”

“Oh, favorite color?”

“You’re right on that,” I sighed.

“Here," he offered.

“I don’t want it.”

“Take it.”

“I don’t want it.”

“Just take it.”

“I don’t want it.”

“Please," he begged.

“No," I replied.

“Please?”

“Is this a trick to getting me to say I’ll be your girlfriend or something?”

“No…” he began. I glared at him and he confessed, “Yes.”

“How does this get me to say yes?”

“If you accept this orange, then you accept my proposal to be your boyfriend.”

“Proposal?! Sounds like marriage. Glad I didn’t take it then.”

“Well, now you know, will you take it?” he smiled.

“No.”

“Please?”

“No.”

“Ji Eun!!”

“Jung Ho, I said no. I have said no, and will continue to say no.”

“I really like you.”

“That’s nice. You like a lot of girls I’m sure.”

“But I really like you,” he smiled and tried to give me orange again. I pushed it away.

“No. I’m going now.”

“Where?”

“To commit suicide," I sighed.

“What?!”

“You’re annoying. I can’t stand it. I’ll see you in the after life… Maybe I’ll haunt you or something,” I laughed sarcastically and began walking away.

“No!! Ji Eun! Stay please. I won’t bother you anymore.”

“Really?”

“Well, I don’t know about that…”

“Suicide.”

“I’ll tell Ji Sung.”

“You wouldn’t.”

“Watch me!” he grinned.

“Fine! I wont commit suicide, but I am getting away from you.”

“Why?”

“Shut up. Class starts in a few minutes. I can’t be late. Ms. Kim already hates me.”

“Fine, fine. I’ll see you later sweetie!” he grinned and watched me as I walked off to my class. Kill me now, please kill me. I’m going to kill myself if you won’t. I’ll do it, I swear.

*********A few days later:

“Ji Eun! Ji Eun!” the voice of Jung Ho called from behind. I was with Jae Wook and Tae Hoon.

“Hey, Ji Eun, Jung Ho is calling for you,” Jae Wook pointed out.

“Yeah, I hear him, but I’m ignoring him.”

“Ji Eun!” Jung Ho yelled even louder.

“He’s coming,” Jae Wook mentioned.

“Yeah, he’s pretty fast…” Tae Hoon added. “And he’s---,”

“Ji Eun!” Jung Ho exclaimed while picking me up and twirled me around.

“Yes?” I asked.

“I know that they might not be special because I didn’t make them, but here. I made Ji Hye make these for you,” he smiled and handed me a bag of cookies with my name on them.

“Jung Ho, is this another trick again?” I asked.

“I want you to accept my proposal to be your boyfriend.”

“I said no.”

“Just give me a chance. Everyone’s dieing to be with me,” he smiled showing his perfect teeth.

“You’re so conceited,” Tae Hoon rolled his eyes.

“Jealous?” Jung Ho asked Tae Hoon.

“No. Why would I be?”

“Because I’m popular and I have the looks that you don’t.”

“Shut up both of you. Please leave Jung Ho.”

“Need a ride home?”

“I do!” Jae Wook giggled.

“Not you!” he retorted.

“No I don’t. I’m leaving. Bye,” I waved and began walking away. Jung Ho grabbed me and pulled me back and tried to kiss me. His face aimed towards mine but I dodged it and he hit his arm.

“AHH!!” he yelled. “You…”

“Yes, I dodged your kiss and you hit yourself,” I laughed.

“Why the hell…” he said sternly.

“Okay hate me now,” I grinned. “I’m going home now…”

“Oh, I don’t hate you. I don’t think I could," he replied.

“Argh. I’m going.”

“You don’t need a ride?”

. “I have a car. I can drive… Let’s go guys," I said.

“Fine…”

“Bye!” I waved and went off with Jae Wook and Tae Hoon.

“Does he keep bothering you?” Tae Hoon asked.

“Yeah, forget about it. I’ll deal with him myself…” I sighed.

“I’ll beat his a** up for you if you want,” he suggested.

“Tae Hoon, I’ve already told you that he’s bigger than you and will definitely beat you up before you can even touch him. Haven’t we gone over this?”

“Yeah, she’s got a point,” Jae Wook added.

“Yeah, whatever. I’m just trying to be a friend…” Tae Hoon sighed.

“I know, thanks though,” I smiled.

Chapter Seven: Torture

Bop. “Oww!” I whispered loudly.

“Yoon Ji Eun!” the teacher exclaimed.

“Huh?” I popped my head up and straightened out my posture. She glared at me with those evil eyes she had as if she was going to send me to detention.

“Do you have something to tell the class since you interrupted us with your loud whispering!”

“What? Just because….” I began.

“I don’t accept excuses, Yoon Ji Eun, out in the hall now!” she exclaimed.

“Hallway?!” I said as I widened my eyes. I had never been in the hallway before. I was always a good student, I really was. The last time I was sent out in the hall was in grade school when a kid pushed me and I cried… If that counts for being in trouble? Any who, where am I going with this…? Oh right. I was confused with who threw that stupid paper ball on me. Ugh, I guess it was someone in the back of the class… Now I’m out here being punished for just reacting to getting injured. Great. The hallway was pretty much empty until I heard whistling from my left side. I looked over to my left and saw a figure walking towards my direction. I was getting tired from standing up, so I sat down next to the door.

“Ji Eun!” Ms. Kim yelled over my head. “Get up! This isn’t relaxing time for you! It’s your punishment!!!” She whacked me on the head with a roll of paper.

“Ow!”

“Yah! That’s what you get. Stand up for another 15 minutes!” she exclaimed and slid the door shut on me. Hmph, what a grumpy old woman. She had wrinkles, but no white hair, unless she hid it in her hair bun…? She always wore that same skirt too… I watched I examined from the window. And that hideous looking long sleeve with the vest? I don’t know… I saw her turn her head towards the door. I quickly turned back around and Jung Ho was standing in front of me.

“Ahh,” I said quietly as I jumped.

“Hello my sweetie. Do you like your punishment?” he asked.

“Wait… why and how did you know I was out here?” I asked.

“I texted Won Hyun to hit you during class so I could meet you out here,” he smirked.

“What? I don’t get it, I never get in trouble and today has to be the day huh?”

“Well, I told you if you said no to me… there would be consequences, didn’t I?”

“You didn’t state it very clearly," I announced.

“There’s more to come, don’t worry.”

“Why though, Jung Ho? Do you not get the picture? You and I do not go. We’re like… um… juice and cereal, good and bad, smart and dumb… Get it? We don’t go.”

“Hey I like juice and cereal. It’s actually really good. And if I’m bad, I’m sure we could balance out? And since you’re calling me dumb, even though I have pretty good grades, you can teach me. See it works out perfectly,” he smiled.

“No, Jung Ho. No.”

“Well, I’m sure you’ll like me in time,” he smirked and walked down the hallway.

“Yah!” I yelled down the hallway. I heard the door slide open behind me. Uh oh… Ms. Kim. I turned around and smiled but again she hit me with the roll of paper in her hand.

“Yah! Don’t you get that when you’re in the hallway, you don’t associate with other students, especially your boyfriend!” she said sternly. “Detention!”

“What?! Detention! Please Ms. Kim, I’ve never gotten detention before.”

“Well, today is your lucky day isn’t it?” she grinned. “Get back in class and come back right after school!”

***************

Why me? I thought as I entered the cafeteria. Jae Wook came up behind me and tickled me.

“Whaa?” I yelled loud enough for the first two tables to stare at me.

“Hey, I heard you got detention today!” he exclaimed. I heard a gasp from some people in the tables.

“Jae Wook! Shut up!” I tugged him out of the way and towards the lunch line. “Jae Wook, can you say that any louder? Goodness, come on, I’ll tell you and the rest of them at the table.” We both strolled casually over to our lunch table where Mi So and Tae Hoon already took out their lunches and were eating.

“Ji Eun,” Mi So whispered.

“Yeah, I guess it’s true. I guess it’s gone around the whole school already,” I sighed. “I’m supposed to be one of the smartest kids in school too… But that a**hole is ruining my reputation!”

“No, wait. What are you talking about?” she asked.

“Huh?” I said.

“I was going to ask if you had another pair of chopsticks,” she giggled.

“Oh… Sorry, here I do.” I pulled out a pair of chopsticks from my lunch bag and handed it to her.

“Wait, so what’s up with the whole detention thing?” Tae Hoon asked.

“What?!” Mi So exclaimed. “Detention?”

“Yeah Mi So, that’s what I was explaining before," I answered.

“Oh…” she said, clueless.

“Yeah so what happened?” Tae Hoon asked again.

“Oh, well I got hit by a paper wad in class today, and was sent out into the hall for being loud. All I did was say ‘ow!’ I mean really, nothing too bad.” I explained.

“Then what happened?”

“That a**hole, Jung Ho, came by and started annoying me AGAIN! Then I was yelling at him, which got Ms. Kim mad… She hates me and I know it. UGH!”

“Oh…” they all said in unison.

“So yeah, detention… I’m going to kill him if I see him…” I murmured.

“Oh here’s your chance…” Jae Wook, said as he stared off behind me. Jung Ho just walked into the cafeteria as some girls giggled as he walked past them and up to me.

“Yah! What’s your problem?” I said and pushed him.

“What? I didn’t do anything!” his loud voice roared.

“Getting me in trouble? That’s something.”

“I didn’t do it, you got yourself in trouble…”

“Ugh… I’m going. I have detention… because of you, you idiot. I only came in here to ‘get my lunch’ even though I already have some. I told Ms. Kim that I bought my lunch and she told me to go get some and come back…”

“Oh, ha. Oh, sorry honey.”

“I’m not your honey!” I yelled. The room went silent. I barged out of the cafeteria doors with eyes glaring at me as I walked out.

Chapter Six: No!!!

Bringgg. The bell rung for lunch. My entire science class rushed out of the room. I peeked out and there was a crowd of people moving like a school of fish to the cafeteria. I dove in with them, hoping that Jung Ho wouldn’t see me. We moved around until we reached the lunch room. I was home safe… at least for now… Jae Wook stood up from our normal table and waved immensely. I walked over with my little lunch box and sat down next to him. Mi So sat across from me with her book out, reading some novel with over a million pages, and Tae Hoon sat next to me quietly eating.

“What’s up with you guys?” I asked.

“What?” Mi So looked up.

“Why are you guys so quiet…?”

“Oh, I just got here with Jae Wook, and Mi So was already reading,” Tae Hoon explained.

“Oh… hm. Okay then,” I sighed. “You guys haven’t seen Jung Ho and the crew, right?”

“No, but…” Jae Wook began.

“What?” I asked.

“Look behind you,” he said. I turned around to see LBY coming towards us and Jung Ho holding a box. “Oh no…”

“Walk away slowly,” he whispered. Everyone’s eyes turned to LBY who were walking towards us. It was one of those scenes where the ‘boss’ of a gang or group was in front and there was mist or smoke coming from behind them and they were moving in slow motion. It was really odd to be honest. As they came closer, I saw Jung Ho holding a box of chocolate. They came up and he smiled at me.

“Ji Eun, I came to tell you something,” he said so the whole room could hear.

“Okay…” I began. “What is it?”

“I really like you,” he grinned. Everyone gasped and their eyes lit up as if they had just seen the best chocolate fountain of their lives!

“Your point is…?” I asked.

“I want you to be my girlfriend.”

“This again?” Tae Hoon asked. Everyone in the cafeteria began whispering to each other. They were probably amazed that he confessed it. He doesn’t really like many girls. He’s just mostly admired especially since everyone knows his last girlfriend left him.

“Jung Ho, we’ve been through this already. I told you… no,” I sighed. Again everyone gasped in surprise, probably because I didn’t accept his offer to be his girlfriend. Everyone in school would have died to be his girlfriend, just because he was so… hot.

“Please Ji Eun?” he asked again.

“No. That’s my final answer,” I said as I picked up my books. I looked at him once again and walked out the door of the cafeteria. Everyone’s eyes followed in envy as I went out. I could hear footsteps follow me as I went out, but stopped behind the door.

“Jung Ho! What about me?” I could hear Ji Hye whine.

“No Ji Hye…” he said and his faded as I walked further away from the cafeteria. I felt a presence behind me so I turned around and it was Tae Hoon. He just stood behind me and smiled.

“When did you follow me?” I asked.

“When you left. I was wondering if you would be okay.”

“I’m fine.”

“Well, I just wanted to make sure.”

“Thanks Tae Hoon, but I’ll be okay. He’s just so irritating!” I yelled through my teeth.

“I’m so what?” a voice said behind us. Tae Hoon stood in front of me as if he was protecting me from some light saber dude.

“What do you want?” he asked.

“Why are you protecting her as if I’m some evil monster or something?” Jung Ho asked.

“Because, you’re pissing her off.”

“I told her to be careful when she said no…” he smirked.

“You guys continue talking,” I smiled. “I’m going to class now.”

“Do you need me to come and walk you?” Jung Ho asked.

“No, she’s got me,” Tae Hoon reclaimed.

“No, she needs me.”

“No, she already has me.”

“But she wants me,” Jung Ho smirked with a perverted look in his eyes.

“I don’t need or want any of you! Ugh! I’m going to class,” I sighed and walked off, leaving them together alone in the hallway.

Chapter Five: No!

Chapter Five: No!

The next day I walked into school, trying to avoid Jung Ho as much as possible. Luckily I didn’t have my first class with him. PHEW! I made it a few feet from my classroom. I looked both ways of the hallway to see no sign of him. I sighed in relief and walked across to my classroom.

“Ji Eun!”

“Ahh!” I yelled. Lee Jung Ho popped out of no where right between me and the entrance to my class. I could see Jae Wook and Mi So waving. “Where did you come from!”

“Ji Eun, I thought I might surprise you with a flower to help boost your decision,” he smiled. He pulled out a pale yellow tulip and handed it to me. I took it and smiled. “So Ji Eun, what’s your answer to my question?”

“No.”

“Wait! I didn’t even ask.”

“Yes you did.”

“Wait!” He paused for a moment. I could see Jae Wook and Mi So trying to peek over to see what was happening.

“Jung Ho. Let me go into my class, please.”

“Okay, after this question.”

“What…”

“So, will you, Yoon Ji Eun, please be my girlfriend,” he smiled with such a sexy smile that no one could ever say no to, except me.

“No,” I said bluntly.

“What!”

“I said no Jung Ho. Now let me in.”

“Oh, I’ll let you in. I told you yesterday, you’re in for it,” he grinned and walked down the hall.

“In for what?” I whispered to myself. UGH! What a weirdo. He might be the hottest guy, but he sure was weird and immature. I found my seat in front of Mi So.

“What was that about?” she asked.

“That *sshole keeps asking me to go out with him,” I answered.

“Ugh, you are so lucky,” she sighed.

“Lucky?” I glared at her. “No, not really. He’s not the best guy in the world you know.”

“From what I see he is.”

“Mi So, you don’t know him like me,” I sighed.

“Yeah, Mi So. He may be very, very hot…” Jae Wook began, “But she’s right. He could be a total jerk.”

“I agree,” a voice came out of no where said. It was Tae Hoon. He came and sat by next to me. “He still hasn’t left you alone?”

“No…” I sighed.

“Well, you want me to beat him up for you so he finally gets the message?” he asked as he turned his hands into fists.

“No, Tae Hoon. He’s much stronger than you and you know that.”

“Yeah…” he sighed. “I wanna protect you though from that *ss.”

“Tae Hoon, I think she can take care of herself without your help,” Mi So made her point.

“Yeah, I think I’ll be okay,” I smiled. “But thanks.”

“Yeah… okay then,” he sighed.

“What’s up with him?” I heard Jae Wook whisper to Mi So. She just shrugged her shoulders and shook her head. I looked over to them and made a stern face so they would both shut up.

“Tae Hoon, what’s wrong?” I asked as I sat crept my seat over next to him.

“Yeah Tae Hoon…” Jae Wook butted in.

“Go away Jae Wook!” I retorted.

“Fine… Fine…” he muttered and went back to whispering with Mi So.

“Tae Hoon, what’s wrong?” I asked.

“Nothing, nothing…” he began.

“Kang Tae Hoon, I know you much better than that. I know when something is bothering you, and right now something is. Come on, I’m one of your best friends, probably best out of all of them,” I sighed as I stared at Mi So and Jae Wook who were playing around with their pencils. “But besides that, please, tell me what’s wrong. How can I help make you feel better when you’re all down?”

“Nothing Ji Eun. I told you, it’s nothing,” he sighed and look the other way.

“Tae Hoon---,” I began but was interrupted by the wonderful LBY. It stood for Lee Jung Ho, Baek Suk Jin, and Yoon Ji Sung and Yoon Ji Hye… What a gay name… why couldn’t they think of anything better?

“Ji Eun!” a screechy voice yelled as it walked into the room. See I use the word ‘it’ for my sister… But anyway, back to the story. “Ji Eun!” she yelled again.

“What!” I yelled.

“Hello,” she smiled.

“Ji Hye! Why do you HAVE to yell out my name every time you walk into the class. Yes I get the point, you’re my sister. Can’t you just… ugh!”

Suk Jin followed behind her and stood at the door laughing. I just stared at his smile and laugh which I couldn’t stop staring at. It was like a spell when he smiled, it was just… Heaven.

“Ji Eun… Ji Eun! Snap out of it!” Jae Wook whispered loudly.

“What? Huh?” I asked looking very confused.

“You look like you’re about to drool…” he smirked.

“Shut up Jae Wook,” I began. “You are so---.”

“Ji Eun,” that voice called. It was Suk Jin’s voice, not too low, but not that annoying geeky squeak noise. It made me melt as if I were a piece of chocolate that just poured down a hot skillet.

“Yes…?” I smiled.

“Ji Eun, what are you doing? Are you okay?” Ji Hye asked as she butted in.

“What? I’m fine.”

“You look feverish.” She placed her hand on my forehead but I forcefully threw it off.

“I’m fine!”

“Are you sure Ji Eun? She’s right, you do look a bit feverish,” Suk Jin added. He came by and placed his hand on my forehead as well.

“Suk Jin, I’m sure I’m fine. Can we just---,”

“Class!” Mr. Choi exclaimed. WHY am I always interrupted!

Chapter Four: Mystery at My House

Chapter Four: Mystery at my House

My house looked abandoned except for my one lonely car. Everyone else had probably left to go out somewhere. I just got back from dropping my friends off at the mall since I didn‘t feel like staying. Parents were at work, and I’m sure that Ji Hye and Ji Sung were out somewhere with the rest of their crew. I unlocked the house door closed it behind me.

Okay, yes my house was one of the biggest in the neighborhood, but that doesn’t state that I’m rich, because… I’m not… Okay, I hate admitting I guess. That’s all.

I passed by the piano and up the stairs. I walked down the hall to the door to my left. I heard some rustling and I peeked into the bathroom to the right to see if there was anything in there. Nothing. Maybe it was imagination or something, I thought to myself. I heard it again. Except it was coming from my room. I freaked out for a second and looked through under the cupboard of the bathroom to try to find something to hit whatever was in my room with. I searched and found a long wooden stick. Wait, why did we have a stick in the bathroom?! Ah, well. It has come in handy. I grabbed it and snuck over to the outside of my door. I creaked the door open and quickly turned on my light. Jung Ho was sitting at my desk reading something.

“Huh?” he said and then looked up to see me in a position to hit him. “Yah! What are you doing with that?!” he jumped up.
“What?” I questioned to myself. “Oh… Wait.. Yah! What are you doing in my house?!” I yelled.

“Reading,” he smiled and sat back down.

“Reading what?” I said as I walked over to him. I looked over his shoulders to see it was my dearest diary. “YAH!! What do you think you’re doing?!” I grabbed my diary from him.

“Reading your diary. I want to see what juicy secrets you’ve spilled about me in here.”

“There’s no sh*t about you in here! Why would I write about an annoying a**hole like you?!”

“Well… somewhere in the beginning you stated how hot I was.”

“What?! Why the hell…” I began and started flipping through the pages. He grabbed the diary from me and flipped through the pages where he found huge red letters that said ’I just saw him, but Lee Jung Ho is so frickin’ hot!’

“See?” he pointed.

“Give me that!” I said and slapped his head. I snatched my diary back and ripped out that page. “There, see it’s not there any more. And besides, that was like my freshman year or something when I first saw you and didn’t know you were an arrogant jerk!”

“Hum. You still thought I was hot. I’m sure you still think I am. I think I am,” he smiled.

“Lee Jung Ho!”

“What?”

“Who the hell let you into my house?!”

“Well…”

“Tell me!” I stood up and pushed him against a wall.

“Oh, feisty,” he grinned in that oddly sexual way which really crept me out.

“AHH!” I yelled and let go of him. “Just tell me.”

“If you want me that bad, just tell me Ji Eun. I’m ready for you,” he said making smooch faces.

“Ji Sung Oppa let you in, didn’t he?” I asked calmly.

“Well, he was going home and he went out somewhere to get Suk Jin, I guess. I told him that I’d stay here to make sure you get home safely.”

“Idiot. I’m 17. I can get home myself.”

“Well, that’s good. Well… you know since no one is home…” he began.

“Shut up you horn dog. No way in hell you are getting in my pants. Let alone, kiss me.”

“Kiss you? Oh I’d love to,” he smiled.

“Lee Jung Ho!” I yelled.

“Yes darling?”

“Get out of my house! Now!”

“But my darling,” he smiled.

“Lee Jung Ho. I don’t know why you keep trying. Don’t you get it? I don’t like you!”

“But you may grow to like me. You really might. Oh, man and everyone would be jealous of you. I can’t wait!” he grinned.

“D*mn it. I’m going. Stay in my room for all I ca---,” I began. Then I realized what access he had in my room to all my underwear and clothes and perfumes and… crap!

“Oh, I’d love to stay in your room,” he grinned.

“No,” I said. I grabbed him by his arm and tugged him out into the hallway. “My bedroom is off limits. Go home now. Or at least find someone else to annoy. There are so many pretty girls out there who are dieing to even talk to you. Go entertain and please them with your ‘hotness.’ Just please go away!”

“Ji Eun, it’s only been a day since I’ve confessed my love you. Please give it a chance.”

“No.”

“Ji Eun.”

“Jung Ho. Go home.”

“Yoon Ji Eun.”

“I’m not going to say yes.”

“Yoon Ji Eun. Please, just for a week?”

“No.”

“Ji Eun…” he began with his puppy dog face.

“No. And you can do whatever you want, but no, I’m not giving in. Go home you sick minded dog,” I tried shooing him off.

“Ji Eun, please. One chance?”

“No.”

“I’m not leaving until you give me an answer.”

“You stubborn a**. I did give you an answer.”

“I meant an answer that I like.”

“Fine… let’s negotiate. Why don’t you go home, and I’ll think about it. That’s all I’m offering is to think about it. I’ll give you an answer by tomorrow.”

“Promise?”

“Shut up and just go. It’s that or I drag you out myself.”

“How? I’m so much stronger than you,” he stated proudly.

“All guys are weak to one thing,” I smirked.

“What?” he asked.

“Women.”

“Yeah right.”

“Especially the ones they like. So if you like me, you’ll go home with the agreement we made or that’s it. I wont even consider it. I really was actually---,” I began.

“Okay! Okay. I’ll go home. But you better think about it very well tonight, or else you’re in for it.

“In for what?”

“You’ll see,” he grinned as he walked out the door. That guy is crazy, I swear.

Chapter Three: Skipping Class in the Courtyard

Chapter Three: Skipping Class in the Courtyard

“Do always talk to yourself…?” Suk Jin asked smiling.

“No… not really. Just. Uhh... Nevermind.”

“He likes you.”

“Yes I know… Please kill me. Please. I’ll get a knife and kill myself if I have to,” I said standing up. “There’s one in the cooking room!”

“You’re such a drama queen.”

“Not really. I’m done though. That stupid idiot has reached the limit to where I need to kill myself.”

“Come on Ji Eun, you’re over exaggerating,” he said as he came to sit next to me. My blood pulse went up. My heart began beating faster. What was I doing?! He’s one of them as well, but I had a feeling for this one. It was like I dove into a cold pool but yet I was still warm throughout my body.

“No, I’m not. I’m done with them. I don’t want to associate with them anymore. Ji Hye, Ji Sung, or Jung Ho.”

“What about me?” he said with his cute dark chocolate puppy dog eyes.

“Well, I dunno…”

“You don’t wanna talk to me either?”

“Well, you’re sort of nicer than them. I guess you’re okay.”

“Well, would it matter if I liked you?”

“What?!” I jolted out of my seat.

“Are you gonna go crazy too?”

“I don’t know… It was a what if question.”

“Well, I might not like you yet, but I really do think you’re cute.”

“Really, I mean, just…” I began.

“Hey! What are you doing around her!” a familiar voice yelled. We looked to the door to see Jung Ho and the rest of the gang around there.

“What?” I quickly stood up.

“Suk Jin. Leave my future girlfriend alone,” Jung Ho stated.

“What?!” I yelled.

“Oh, Jung Ho. Yeah, sorry about that man. Just talking that’s all.”

“Jung Ho!” I yelled.

“Yes sweetie?” he asked.

“UGH! I’m not your girlfriend and never will be. Got it?” I yelled.

“Nope, my little sweetheart. You brighten up my day.”

“Lee Jung Ho.”

“Yes, my deary dear,” he said in such a cheesy manner.

“There are 3,000 other students that attend this high school. Half of them are girls. Why can’t you go pick on one of them…?”

“Because, I like you. I don’t like them very much. They’re actually really annoying.”

“But me! I have nothing in common with you! Unless you count the fact that you’re friends with my opposite brother and sister. Besides that, I don’t want to see you!”

“Ji Eun. Stop being like this. People will see,” Mi So said out of the corner of the door.

“AHH! I can’t take this anymore! Class please start soon…” I mumbled to myself.

“Ji Eun, come on,” Tae Hoon said as he came closer to me. Jung Ho stepped in front of him.

“Nope, no passing me. I’m the border between you and Ji Eun.”

“What! Jung Ho, she’s my friend. Let me talk to her.”

“No.”

“Jung Ho! Let him pass d*mn it!” I yelled.

“Yeah Jung Ho!” Jae Wook giggled and waltz right passed him towards me. He sat down in the seat next to me.

“What about him?!” Tae Hoon yelled.

“He’s gay, I don’t care if he passes by me. I don’t want you to interfere with Ji Eun and my time. We need alone time to bond and really get to know each other,” he smiled and came over to me. He picked me up like a I was a bride in a wedding and he was the groom and swept me away out of the room. Everyone was in the hallway trying to get to their classes and all stopped when Jung Ho passed by. They all looked at me as if I were some crazy b*tch trying to get some with him. Jung Ho swept me passed them too and we reached the end of the hallway to where the courtyard was. He carried me outside and put me on a bench.

“Yah! What’s you’re problem!” I yelled. Everyone in their classes turned to look out their windows at us, including the teachers.

“Stop looking! What's your problem? Can't we have some privacy?!” Jung Ho yelled. Everyone’s heads turned away from us and went back to staring blankly at the chalkboards. It still amazed me how much power Jung Ho, Ji Sung, and Suk Jin all had in the school just because of their looks and threats…

“Jung Ho. This is ridiculous. My teacher is going to be mad at me,” I said as I quickly stood up.

“Ji Eun. Where are you going?”

“To my class. Please, leave me alone.”

“Ji Eun, I told you. I like you, so I can’t do that easily.”

“I don’t like you Jung Ho. I never have and never will. Inconsiderate b*st*rd…”

“What?”

“Nothing. I’m going inside,” I stated as I began walking into the building.

“Fine, be that way! You can’t have any of this.” He flexed and pretended to kiss his muscles, which he definitely had. But that didn’t take away the point that he was an idiot and that I still hated him. Ji Hye, Ji Sung, and Suk Jin, all came outside with him.

“Come on Jung Ho. She doesn’t like you. Come back to me,” Ji Hye pleaded.

“Ji Hye, face it. Jung Ho doesn’t like you,” Ji Sung made a point.

“Suk Jin, will you take me?” she smiled.

“No.” he said bluntly.

“Hmph, no one is going to take me are they,” she pouted.

“Ji Hye, with that attitude? No,” Ji Sung said.

“What are you guys doing out here?” I asked.

“The same reason you aren’t inside,” Ji Hye said.

“Jung Ho carried you out here too?” I gasped sarcastically.

“Shut up Ji Eun,” she said.

“Yeah, whatever. You guys can skip out here while I go inside. I need to learn and you know, pass the tests that they give us… you idiots,” I said as I walked back into the school. I looked back out the window and they were just standing around talking. I left the scene and went back to my class.

Chapter Two: What?

Chapter Two: What?!

Ahh, lunch, my favorite time the day where my brain can relax and I don’t have to pay attention to any of the weirdos. Mi So and Jae Wook were sitting at our normal lunch table, waving at Tae Hoon and I as we walked in.

“Ji Eun! Tae Hoon! Over here!” Jae Wook yelled.

“Yeah, we’re coming,” I yelled back. Tae Hoon and I began walking to the table when something that looked like a mob passed by and sat down next to them. We quickly ran over to them. It was them again. Jung Ho was sitting in my normal spot with Ji Hye, Ji Sung, and Suk Jin all huddled around Mi So and Jae Wook.

“Yah! What are you doing now?!” I yelled.

“Sitting,” Jung Ho proclaimed.

“Ugh, you’ve got to be kidding me.” I could see the other girls eyeing on our table as they sat down just drooling as if they couldn’t close their mouth any more or something. Weird. “Jung Ho! Get out of my seat!”

“Why my darling? You can scoot right here next to me,” he grinned.

“What are you doing? What about me!” Ji Hye yelled. “Ji Hye. Shut up. Your sister is much cuter than you, let me sit next to her.”

“But I’m your girlfriend!”

“Not really. You kind of made yourself my girlfriend. You always tell people I’m your boyfriend. It was fun for awhile.”

“Jung Ho! But!” she began. She started grabbing onto his arm and tugging on it. “Please Jung Ho! I really like you a lot.”

“You think I’m hot like the rest of the world. Of course I am. I’m irresistible!” he laughed.

“Jung Ho! Ugh! Fine whatever. We’re over! I’m sure I’ll find someone else who will care for me and love me unlike you!” she pouted.

“Shut up Ji Hye. You make such a scene,” he sighed. Ji Hye went and sat on the other side of the table which left an open seat next to Jung Ho.

“Come on darling. Sit next to me,” Jung Ho said as he pointed next to him.

“Lee Jung Ho, what makes you think I’d want to sit next to you? You’re an idiotic and annoying guy who happens to be friends with my brother and sister and happens to be one of the most popular guys in school.”

“Exactly why you should sit next to me,” he smiled.

“No.”

“Come on,” he whined.

“Shut up. Come on guys, let’s go sit somewhere else,” I stated.

“But, Ji Eun, we already started eating!” Jae Wook complained. “My food is already neatly set out. See?”

“Oh fine…”

“Ji Eun, come sit next to me,” Jung Ho winked.

“No. I’ll sit over here, at the end of the table.”

“Ji Eun!”

“Shut up Jung Ho. If people didn’t know better, they would see the real you. The real you is a whining stupid and conceited freak!”

“Ji Eun,” he began as he stood up. He walked over to me and put his arm around me.

“Get off!” I exclaimed. The entire cafeteria went quiet.

“Get back to your food!” Ji Sung yelled. Everyone turned back around and ate in silence.

“Ugh… I’m skipping lunch today. I’m going to class early. Come on Tae Hoon,” I said as I grabbed him.

“Stop dragging your boyfriend around everywhere. He doesn’t look like he wants to go everywhere with you,” Ji Sung stated.

“What?! Tae Hoon isn’t my boyfriend,” I replied angrily.

“Well, you sure act like he is.”

“Well he isn’t! Tae Hoon, tell him that I’m not---,” I began. Jung Ho came up behind me and lifted me up. “AHH! Put me down!” He twirled me around while still hugging me.

“You can’t have him as your boyfriend,” he whispered.

“Why not?” I asked as he put me down.

“Because, I like you.”

“What?!”

“I like you Ji Eun. What are you, deaf?” he asked.

“Ahh! What?!" I said as I stood up. "Why? Ugh. dry.gif I can’t stand this. I’m going now. Really. You guys can stay, I need some air.” I swiftly walked out the cafeteria and down the hall to my classroom. Did Jung Ho, the hottest guy in school, just confess his liking to me?! “Why me?" I sighed, "Why couldn’t I be stuck with Suk Jin?! He’s the more nicer, quieter, and we actually have something in common. Ugh!” I began scribbling in my notebook when I heard footsteps stop at the door. Suk Jin was standing there at the door, smiling. Was he there the whole time?!
